Story 2 I'll keep brief - this was a spontaneous moment - my new neighbor (who I've mentioned in other stories that have the boat-full of kids) called me and asked me to watch her 2 youngest while she ran a quick errand. I was available and did so - and when she returned I mentioned that given "last night's rain" there might be puddles at a nearby park, where it's very pretty and lots of play elements. Dad got home early and the whole family came with GK and I to the park! Ages: 1, 4, 6 and 9. The 3 oldest were were wearing normal clothes, but all in a type of watershoe or sandal - but there were some great photo and video moments!
There is a place that always has a large, flat 50-75ft x 20ft puddle anywhere from 1/2 in to 2 inches deep. Great for riding scooters and bikes through which the kids loved, and all got mostly soaked.
True family fun!
