Oh no, lots of people love getting wet in suits, shirts, ties including me.
If you read my leprechaun post those are exactly the clothes I prefer getting wet in. I do love swimming in jeans and everything made of denim - it's my favorite fabric for getting wet. I love western/cowboy attire and I love wet business suits too! So I prefer to mix and match the styles and have had good results from blending them and have been complimented many times on the "look" it creates. I don't feel quite finished without a nice shirt and tie. Just swimming in a tee shirt isn't as satisfying for me personally, but different strokes for different folks. If you have never done it before I highly recommend you try swimming in a tuxedo. It's awesome!
And like you I have always enjoyed walking around in my wet clothes after a swim and seeing people's reactions. So enjoy your shirts and ties - I for one am right there with you.
