Underwear is personal choice too, but with briefs there isn't anything to chafe so you may get some of those to try. Gotta wear those here in the south US this time of year with all our humidity coz outside you get wet with sweat doing anything outside for long and yep boxers, even boxer briefs will chafe.
Briefs have a great feel when wet - think you'll like them.
