I don't think we have emergency showers here in UK schools, at least we didn't have when I was there, but that was many years ago.
Love the detail of Robbie soaking his new tights. Straight out of the packet, on him, and in the shower Eh! That boy is a wackywet legend.
I always used to enjoy soaking new clothes, but then I read a post on here that reckom=ned it was better if you washed them first. Apparently many clothes are coated with some chemical which stops them getting marked when handled in shops. Makes sense I suppose, as they could have been handled a few times before they come to you, and might even have been tried on by someone. A quick wash gets rid of this chemical, and the garment seems to be far more absorbant.I know you are robbed of the 'first soaking' experience, but the end result is more satisfactory in my book.
