Muddy Songs

In keeping with Wetnut's post about wet songs here are two songs about mud. The first is "I Like Mud" written by Rick Charette. Rick Charette is from Maine and has written several children's songs and has traveled quite a bit over the years performing them with his Bubblegum Band. Here are the Lyrics to the chorus:

Mud, Mud, I like mud!
I'm absolutely, positively wild about mud!
Can't go around it, I gotta go through it,
Beautiful, fabulous, super duper mud!

Second is a song by Flanders and Swann call "Mud, Mud Glorious Mud" or the Hippopotamus Song. Again, more of a children's song but the chorus goes like this:

Mud, Mud, Glorious mud
Something about it cools the blood!
So follow me, follow
Down to the hollow
And there we will wallow
In glorious mud.
