My mother's father - whom I never met, he died when my Mom was only 14 - and his sister were both left handed. My Mom was right handed. I have three brothers and always thought I was the only one of us left handed. I was shocked to learn after all these years that my oldest brother started out as a lefty but was switched when he started school. I never knew that about my own brother! They had stopped doing that by the time I got to school six years later.
My hair also used to be red, and I just read that red heads are also usually left handed as well. Apparently the two traits are carried on the same gene. My great niece also is a lefty.
Some of my ideas are a bit strange too. I take great pride in being different and unusual and unique. I've known from the beginning I don't fit the "normal" mold, but I prefer it that way.
