I was wearing socks and old trainers. Charlie was in just canvas shoes, no socks and a swimming costume under her shorts and tee. Ben had socks and old trainers (turned out he was wearing Speedos under his jeans, as was I - we know we are going to get soaked and muddy on one of these walks so dress accordingly, we’ve been in trouble before for ruining normal underwear with mud stains, but seems that rule does not apply to dad). Dad had socks and trainers on and I saw a waistband for his usual M&S boxers under his jeans as we hosed ourselves clean.
