I think the every guy has a problem with clingy wet swim shorts but some people worry about it and others don’t; maybe these guys are more confident about what they have to show-off, but really 99% of the time no one should worry, 50% of the human race have a package, so what is so unusual about seeing an outline (and is anyone really looking anyway?). No one in our house worries about being “seen” as such; what can be seen anyway? Nothing really, just another bulge like your butt, your chest, your biceps and so on and so on........
Your mum probably only nags your dad because she knows what is in his shorts and is imagining more than she can see.
My advice, for what it is worth, is just to carry on and not worry about what others think whatever you wear, be it wet clingy shorts, jeans, tee-shirts, shorts ...... just be a bit more careful if you get a boner!
