You are right about wearing white to an event. Which is exactly why I wore white shorts and a white t-shirt to a mud volleyball tournament. It was amazing how many people told me I shouldn't have worn white. And then the offers of muddy hugs started. After a few hugs and being pretty muddy on my front side I asked a player if he would slide in the mud with me to help me get completely muddy. He obliged and I think he was surprised I was willing to get my white clothes so muddy. After that I just wondered around the unused pits wallowing in as many as I could. Of course, after the first pit no one could tell I was wearing white!
