I used to know some spots around Orlando, mostly north and east of the city. But you have to be really careful for gators. I used the same location for several months before realized it was where a lot of gators slept at night. They only left during the day to sun themselves along the sides of a golf course. One day I climbed upon the other side of the creek and found them. Then as I walked back, I realized those marks I had been seeing in the sand along the creek where places where they slept.
