Getting others into mud

Just wondering if anyone has ever convinced someone to join them in the mud at a public muddy event. I've attended many muddy events, like mud volleyball games and mud bogs. And I've often joined OTHERS in the mud, but I have not had any luck convincing other spectators to join in on the muddy fun. The last time I was at the Dayton mud tournament I talked to a young guy with a spectator wristband (like the one I had) and I tried to convince him to jump in with me, but he was only interested in watching his friends. At Hannibal a young couple came down to the pits to let their young child play in the mud, and I tried to get them to get in, and while I thought they might for a few minutes, they ultimately didn't. Would love to hear your stories if this was something you successfully accomplished. I have had a couple of people join me at mud bogging events. Don't know if the mud boggers are a little more laid back, or if they are just a little more loosened up with alcohol!
