Well if you did wear boots like those to school, at least the headmaster wouldn't be able to tell if you had the right colour socks. Maybe that's why they're banned.
There are pig wrestling contests in the USA, but they usually don't have a whole lot of prize money, so it's mostly an amateur thing. Participants do get to get very muddy though. The usual arrangement is a team of four people rush to pin down a pig in an arena and put it into a barrel, and the team with the best time is the winner.
