Yes, it is the grit in mud that hastens the breakdown of the denim fabric vs. normal wear and washing. I love it personally. Wish there was an opportunity here to get muddy all year round.

Poor Chris. I turned grey quite young. It starts in the beard and works its way up and I shaved my beard off because it started turning grey rapidly. Not sure if turning grey prematurely is a genetic thing with redheads or not. All I know is that I changed from "Little Red Riding Hood" to "Snow White" overnight. But I least I still have hair! Not as much as I used to, but better than my youngest brother who started balding at 19. I was 29 when I started turning grey and I didn't have twins. At least Chris has a good excuse.
