Yes, I remember them all wearing sweaters in Sea Gypsy. I guess it was because the water was really cold. At one point, one of the characters has a line where she says she wants to "Burn this sweater." I like the part where they're all in the water trying to catch fish bare-handed. I hadn't heard of "Jumping Ship," but I noticed there's a movie on my computer called that from 2001 starring the Lawrence brothers. Maybe it's a remake of the one you're thinking about from 1980. Either way, probably a good flick!
