Sounds like a great day! I wouldn't worry about the car. Let the mud dry and flake it off in chunks. After that it'll just be a little dusty.

I remember one time a mechanic was looking at the interior of my car and said, "I take it you work outdoors." I actually don't, but I didn't bother to tell him that.
